GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A reminder to all fans attending Florida athletic events in Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center that safety measures from last season are still in place.
The arena has metal detectors at the entrance areas to enhance patron safety. These metal detectors are at every gate and used for all events at the O'Connell Center, which includes all Gator home events. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and be prepared.
All bags will be checked before going through the metal detectors. There will be signage and additional staff to help direct fans through the process at each gate.
Please be advised that these safety measures will add time to entering the arena, so fans are encouraged to allow additional time for entry to events.

Note: Staff and media are also required to use metal detectors, and one is installed at the loading dock entry for this purpose.
